Yovel

Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-06-20 · Version 1.4 — Provider-neutral account-safety wording aligned with email/password, Google Sign-In, and Sign in with Apple.

The short version. By using Yovel, you agree to these terms. The service generates AI-powered wellness routines and reflections and is not medical advice. Personalized Memory can learn from your own account activity when enabled, and you can turn it off, review/correct/hide learned memories, or reset it in Settings. Subscriptions are managed through Apple, with a 7-day free trial and fair-use limits. Contact [email protected] with questions.
Crisis disclosure. Yovel is not a substitute for emergency mental-health care. If you are in crisis or considering self-harm, please contact your local emergency services immediately. In the United States, dial or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. The app surfaces crisis resources when our system detects elevated distress in your inputs, but it is not a clinical tool and cannot replace qualified human care.

What Yovel does

Yovel is a mobile application for iPhone, built with React Native via Expo. It generates AI-powered daily routines, reflections, sleep stories, voice, and wellness suggestions; tracks mood, completions, habits, and optional check-ins; and helps you build a wellness practice. It uses server-side AI providers for generation and moderation, optionally informed by your profile, location, weather, Apple Health data when you grant access, and Personalized Memory when that setting is on.

Who can use Yovel

You must be at least 13 years old (United States) or 16 years old (European Union) to use Yovel. EU users between 13 and 15 must have their parent or guardian's consent, on file with us, to use the service. If we discover that a user below the minimum age has created an account, we will delete it.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials and any third-party sign-in accounts you use with Yovel safe. Do not share your password or allow unauthorized access to your Apple or Google account. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password or secure the connected sign-in provider account, then contact us immediately. You can delete your account in Settings. Account deletion removes Yovel-controlled account-scoped data as described in the Privacy Policy, but it does not cancel Apple subscriptions or erase records Apple must keep.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our AI prompts.
  • Use automated tools to send requests at a rate exceeding what a human user would.
  • Scrape data from the service.
  • Misuse the AI to generate harmful, illegal, or harassing content.
  • Sublicense, resell, or redistribute the service.

Community features are additionally governed by the Community Guidelines at https://dakkaklabs.com/community-guidelines, which are incorporated into these terms by reference.

Subscription terms

Yovel offers a Pro subscription with a 7-day free trial.

  • Monthly plan: $14.99 per month after the 7-day free trial.
  • Annual plan: $129.99 per year after the 7-day free trial.
  • Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Manage your subscription in Settings → [Your Apple ID] → Subscriptions on your device.
  • Refunds: all subscription billing is processed by Apple. Refund requests are governed by Apple's refund policy at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084.
  • Daily routine cap: Pro accounts can generate up to 20 routines per day. The cap resets at midnight your local time. Free accounts are limited to 1 routine per day. If you have a legitimate use case requiring more than 20 a day on Pro, contact [email protected].
AI-generated content disclaimer

Routines, reflections, stories, voice scripts, and suggestions generated by Yovel are produced by AI based on the inputs you and we provide. They are general wellness suggestions, not medical, mental-health, therapeutic, legal, financial, or professional advice. Do not rely on Yovel to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical questions. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, irrelevant, or unsuitable for your situation, including when it reflects incomplete or stale account patterns. Apply your own judgment.

Personalized Memory is designed to personalize your own Yovel experience from your own account activity when enabled. You can turn it off, review/correct/hide derived learned memories, or reset the derived learned-memory layer in Settings. Resetting Personalized Memory does not delete your raw account history; deleting your account does.

Data and privacy

How we collect, use, share, retain, and delete your data is described in our Privacy Policy: https://dakkaklabs.com/privacy.html. By using Yovel, you accept the Privacy Policy. Your main controls are in Settings: Help improve Yovel controls first-party analytics, Apple Health controls health access, Personalized Memory controls learned-memory personalization, Memory Center lets you review/correct/hide derived learned memories, Reset Personalized Memory deletes the derived learned-memory layer, and Delete account removes Yovel-controlled account-scoped data.

Intellectual property

The Yovel app, its design, code, prompts, systems, and brand are owned by Mohamed Dakkak or Dakkak Labs. Your account-specific content, such as mood entries, posts, feedback, profile answers, habits, uploaded avatar, and interactions, belongs to you. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process it only for operating, securing, moderating, personalizing, and improving Yovel as described in these terms and the Privacy Policy. The account-content license terminates when you delete your account, except for narrow legal, security, backup, and fraud-prevention records described in the Privacy Policy.

Warranty disclaimer

Yovel is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific needs.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Yovel is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Yovel harmless from any claims arising out of your misuse of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.

Governing law and forum

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. For US-based users: any non-arbitration dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cumberland County, Maine.

EU, UK, and Brazilian consumers: nothing in these terms strips you of your local mandatory consumer-protection rights. You may bring claims in your local courts and rely on your local consumer-protection laws regardless of the choice-of-law clause above.

Dispute resolution and arbitration (US users)

For US-based users: any dispute arising out of these terms will be resolved by individual binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, seated in Maine. You waive any right to participate in a class action. The Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this arbitration provision.

EU and UK consumers are exempt from this arbitration provision and retain their local-court rights.

Termination

You may terminate by deleting your account in Settings. Account deletion removes Yovel-controlled account-scoped data as described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription, and it may not erase records retained by Apple, tax/accounting systems, backups that have not yet expired, or the minimal server-only device-account fraud-prevention ledger. We may terminate or suspend your account if you materially breach these terms; we will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to cure where appropriate.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via email and an in-app banner at least 30 days before they take effect. The Last updated date at the top of this page shows the current version. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
